A Room of One’s Own

Julian Dibbell weighs in on the latest libido-enhancer. PT-141 could be hitting the market in as little as 3 years, and adds to the long list of drugs aspiring to the title “the female Viagra.” While Dibbell worries about the drug ushering in an age of “McNookie” (a term I believe should be struck immediately from the English language), I’m much more interested in the “female autonomy study” referenced late in the tory.: in summary, giving female rats their own bedrooms has the same effect as giving them PT-141.

Maybe separate bedrooms aren’t such a bad idea after all.

Dibbell also wrote the classic, “A Rape In Cyberspace,” which later became a chapter in his book, My Tiny Life: Crime and Passion in a Virtual World
