Steven Seagal now has an energy drink called “Lightning Bolt,” which comes in totally-PC flavors like “Asian Experience.” Judging from the web site, Lightning Bolt seems to be picking up where the Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers left off.
Energy drinks are notoriously dubious in their taste (and flavor, for that matter). Just check the web presence of a handful like RedBull, Monster, Bawls, Hype,* Rockstar, and my personal favorite, Diet Rockstar.
That Diet Rockstar doesn’t have more aggressive marketing is really too bad, as “Party Like a Diet Rockstar” would be one of the most brilliant advertising campaigns of all time. Just imagine — they could have spokespersons like Billy Joel and Meatloaf.
