Yet another reason to love nerds: Someone made a Sims video of R. Kelly’s “Trapped in the Closet.” Granted, the characters don’t quite have the range of facial expressions that such an epic demands, and nobody gets naked, but it’s fun. (The video is in five acts, much like a Shakespearean drama: Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5.)
I love the junctures at which pop culture starts to participate in a cannibalistic orgy of self-consumption. It’s things like a Sims interpretation of a pop song or the Lego version of the Bible that really warm my heart.
