Pop Rocks and Coke
My favorite technologically-advanced confection, Pop Rocks is actually patented. This means that no one else can rip off their sugary, crackling goodness. It also means you can read all about how they’re made.
Be warned, though: Pop Rocks does have a competitor in CO2 Carbonated Hard Candy. CO2 provides less of a “pop” and more of a slow fizz, but it’s still an interesting oral sensation.
