walks like a duck
If you’ve ever wanted to hear children of many lands recorded making animal noises, well, does fl@33 ever have what you’ve been looking for.
Bzzzpeek is a collection of recordings of kids from across the globe imitating bees, cows, horses, pigs, snakes and other noisy critters (well, and noisy vehicles, like cars, trains and ambulances). The project’s goal is to compare these bits of onomatopoeia side by side as each language expresses them.
Judging from the recording, some things just don’t translate — either that, or there are no snakes in Japan.
