all the news that’s fit to flatter
According to USA Today, British gossip magazine OK! is planning to launch an edition here in the United States. OK! has no qualms paying for content. The publication forks over big bucks for exclusive access to stars’ lives, even offering some editorial control, meaning that the celebrities can approve photographs and stories before they hit the news stands.
Sure, there are skeptics, people who say that American women are “democratic,” which apparently means they’ll be against OK!’s brand of checkbook journalism.
Frankly, I find that line of reasoning illogical — I mean, shit, we let Geraldo Rivera call himself a reporter. I have a hunch that OK! will do just fine stateside.
